Mama Redell has been talling up the 39 ballots that has come through so far.

So far the top 3 choices are
50/50
T-Shirts
Silent Auction

I will be closing off the ballots this friday, (tomorrow) so please if you have not voted yet, please send them to me, I am still counting.

I will send eveyone a tally of the completed ballot. So we can see how everything rated. We may want to reconcider the close choices.

Time for Fundraiser

Cher to all STS Seniors

The new year has begun, and Mama has been waiting for the holidays to make way for the the BRAINSTORM, to begin. And also COMMITMENTS, for our SENIOR YEAR,

I spoke to Ms Susanne last fall, and she informed me that the class that raised the most so far, raised enough money for 12 scholarships (approx. $14,000)

We need to TOP that, we have always broken all records. What dollar amount or number of scholarships do we want to set our goal?

Time is MONEY, we only have 6 months, to break all records.

These are the IDEAS so far.

Christina Gordon -- Halifax N.C.
Silent Auction
Casino Night
Decals (STS)
Each Student $5.00 donation

Harriet Kilcrease -- Dothan AL
Entertainment @ Hartman House (hire some of own)
Karaoke Contest (who gets the most tips, is the winner)
Money from both goes towards the Fundraiser

Courtney Hewlett -- Daytona Beach
Cookbook
T-Shirts with Pop Rocks theme

Sandra Tanner -- La Crosse VA
Taste of Class Cookbook / CD
Also her and husband own a Embroidery and Screen Print Shop, and can give us great deals on all kinds of fund raising items.

Gretchen Ogle -- Gatlinburg TN
Graphic Designer, has offered services

Landis Wolford -- Grandfather Mountain / Lineville NC
Date Auction of ST'S Celebrities
And has offered to Chair this project

Darryl Wilson -- ST'S
Magazine Subscriptions / Renew ables (40%) goes to us.
Advertizements in Magazines also

Marge Bateman -- Frankfort KY
$100 donation from each Senior Student
T-Shirts
Raffle

Mama Redell Miller -- Scott LA
Souvenir Gift Shop
With all kinds of souvenirs from STS, Dahlonega, Tourism stuff, and whatever we think that may sell.
This could also be the venue to put our, T- shirts, koozies, decals, cookbooks, and donations from each state if they wanted to bring and donate other items.

State Donations
Each State / Students would raise $1,000 per state represented at STS
We would work as a State Teams
This would give us $12,000 to start with, even before we get there.

These are the suggestions that I have recieved over the past few months. If you would like to add to this list please email me by the end of next week, Fri Jan 9th.

Our list for voting will go out on Monday Jan. 12th.

I will be looking for a CHAIR / TREAUSURE, Mama is not good at counting and keeping track of money,, her brain is always, thinking of too many things at one time, I cant stay focused.

Also be thinking what committee you would like to work on , or even CHAIR.
Each project we choose to do will need a CHAIR AND COMMITTEE to work with. Start getting your Money Makers on your TEAM. We all have great talents, in different areas, so lets be the best that each of our home state would be very proud of.

Oh Yeah, Hope your Holidays were Safe and Happy,
Merci Mama Redell

Fundraising Phases

Chere STS,

3rd year Students… or should I say Senior Graduates. AHEE eeeeeeee.

We know the Holidays are creeping up on us, but we would like each and everyone of you to start putting your thinking caps on. We need each and everyone of you to brainstorm, the more brains we have the smarter we will be as a class. Just keep in mind everything our instructors has taught us so far.

What ever ideas we come up with ,it has to be the HOOK, to reel in more money. And knowing the class we are, we have to keep the FUN in Fundraising. This is our last year, Lets make it something STS would be very proud of.

This is the game plan, I thought we might use We would do everything in phases

Fundraising Phases

Dec/Jan.

1. What is our Goal in Money and in Number of Scholarships we want provide.

2. Everyone, sends me their ideas on what we want to do as a class.

3. And who would like to be a Chairperson of a Committee or just serve as a committee person (on a particular project).

January - Voting

1. On which projects / ideas we will do

2. Selection of Chairpersons, and Committees

Feb - March - April

1. Begin Creating Projects

May - June - July

1. Promote - Promote - Promote

2. Raising the Bar for our Following Students

We have been the class that has broken many records, lets keep our fame on the books for years to come.

I am looking forward to be hearing from each one of you.

With the Holidays coming soon, I will have a few days of off time to work on your ideas.

Expect to be hearing more from me during the next few weeks.

Merci Mama Redell
